It helps a lot to know that im not the only one. I really dont know what it is. Im not a lead foot. cruisin' in the caddy is the only way I drive it. I will look into some of the other causes mentioned. Will get back and let ya'll know how it works out.

is this for the post about the miles per gallon us lead foots get?
I get 21.4mpg at 79mph on cruise, a whole lot less when by foot control. I consistantly get .5 mpg less going west from St. Louis to Salina compared to the other way. (prevailing winds? rising elevation? crappier MO gas?)

there are many other posts about this. they suggest things to check like the timing and the cat. converter being clogged etc.
