Well, I will take the reins on this one as I would like a set!

Here is the thread with ALL of the information: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2004-2007-cadillac-cts-v-performance/330866-creative-steel-wide-wheel-trailing-arms-4.html

To make it simple for everyone the arms that are for the group buy will be the ones with the spherical bushing (ballistic joint) on the subframe side, and the option of Creative Steel's greaseable bushing on the control arm side or not.

So fairly simple; All the same arm just plus or minus the bushing on the control arm side (your option).

Price without bushing :325$

Price with bushing: 365$

Prices are SHIPPED!!!

Once we get ten on the list Max will start building them and then we just need 2 more to complete the group buy! Any simple questions that I can answer feel free to PM me for my phone # as Max lives on the West coast...and I will answer my phone whenever you Forkers call in the wee hours. Plus it will not distract the man from his work building our arms! There will be no payment until we have all confirmed buyers! SO PLEASE! if you're interested cool, but if you decide to commit don't back out and screw the group, thats just no bueno. Lets hope for some interest, and Thank you!-Nik

Im sure the will help su substantially with wheel hop as well by keeping the control arm more secure with less ability to move.

Hey guys, I thought I would add the pictures and say a few words. This is for the Trailing Arm with a Spherical Bushing on the subframe side(You will see a polyurethane bushing in the pics, as we have not gotten pictures with the SB's). This group buy has only been up since yesterday and is over half way full from users of this forum and LS1. If you are thinking about getting these, I recommend it now, because the price will go up for single purchases after this. Thank you all for having as much excitement for these as we do.

Here are the pictures from the other thread:

That is a question for max? I do not know the differences for the sts rear. Maybe post up some picture from under your car would help.

Max, any idea?

Beats me, ya...some pictures would help and a stock trailing arm would help even more. Does anyone know where they can get their hands on one?

I can take pictures under mine. I would think they are. We have the same rear ends. I wouldn't want to buy if they won't work though. If they will ill take a set.

I just looked a pair of STS arms on eBay. They are not the same at the CTS, and the are listed in two different listings, one for left and one for right. On a CTS the arms are the same (left and right).
I am not apposed to building the STS arms, then do a group buy for them too.

Problem would be getting enough interest.

Your arms look to be left and right specific too?

I know we share the sigma platform with the v2 no one makes anything for them that I've seen. (BMR UMI or Spohn)

Tomorrow we will list the trailing arms for this group buy on our website for those of you that would like to pay online. There will be a separate SKU # for the full price and the down payment, pick which ever you like. Both will earmark a set of arms for you. When you are finalizing the purchase put your screen name in the "notes" box so I'll know who is who.

Just a quick update on the Toe-Rods. The first batch was more labor intensive than I care to talk about and it's probably a good thing that I didn't keep track of the time. Right now we are figuring ways to streamline the process to get the time involved and price down. I will try to have a price and availability early this week.

Ok folks, there are a few spots left! Max is allowing 20 to get in on this group buy now, and I believe this may be the only group buy for this item. There will most likely not be another!

So here is what you do, call creatrive steel and get yourself in on the group buy! Once that 20# is hit, that is it! You will have to wait till the next batch is made, and the regular price!

ALSO! Everyone who is already in the group buy, please either post here, call creative steel, or email creative steel what your color preference is!

Two choices! The red pictured, or Hammer tone Black! Please let us know asap so that Max can have them powder coated accordingly!

Hi so looking at these and I am wondering what size tire and wheel we can get inside of the car? This is the next mod I am going with, trying to plan with Eibach springs and all the suspension bushings.
Thinking about trying to locate a couple of OEM wheels to get widened. This is for a V1

MotorMounts
01-12-14, 04:16 PM
It may seem like a cop-out answer to your question, but the best way to determine what size wheel will fit your car is to do all of the other upgrades that you plan to do then measure what interferences you have. Our trailing arms will not be the limiting factor on what wheel/tire combo will fit. The next obstacles will be the lower trailing arm, the shock and or the frame of the car at the front of the wheel well.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I should have read more on your site on the trailing arms I see that you can run a 9.5 wheel and and a eleven inch wide tire, without rolling your fenders. I plan on your trailing arms adjustable toe rods all your rear cradle blocks and bushings. Wasn't planning on changing shocks now.
Thanks

The arms are back from powder coating. If you are on the list and paid in full your arms will go out by the end of the week.

As of now, (1pm PST Wednesday) we have 1 set of red and 1 set of black still available.

Is the spacer for stance or did you need it to avoid hitting the arms?

i think if i called him stanced out he would drive to cali and do a burnout on my toes.

So is this group buy different than the one i signed up for on ls1tech?

Thanks bro. I believe this thread was the previous group buy from last summer.

That is with stock wheels widened to 10". The spacers keep the rubber off the shocks. After the offset trailing arms that is the next closest thing.

Sometimes people forget that this is my first car and that I'm blissfully ignorant of most import car terminology. Apparently I just stumbled on another term that means something vastly different than I intended. :bigroll:

What I meant to ask was whether you were using spacers to increase your track width, not "slam" the car and slap 3-4 degrees of negative camber on it! That aside, what are the chances we could get a picture of your inside clearance with those wheels?

ctsv247
02-14-14, 06:21 PM

Lol. I'll have my wheels back from the powder coater in a few weeks. No pics of the wide wheels yet.

ctsv247, I'm sure there is from many years ago. What do you want to see? It's black with black wheels, black calipers, orange motor, black upper interior trim panels and dropped about 2".

This is how low it is with stock wheels and tires.
