Zaino'd car and just needed to post up a few odd pics. Nothing dramatic like some cool urban setting ... unless you consider South Lyon an "urban" setting. Just hard to believe I took delivery on Jan 21, '05.

At local golf course:

No, I know what you're thinking, lollygagger8 ... this isn't a nursing home:

Thanks, guys, for indulging me. Nothing like Zaino, no snow, and a garage for keeping paint looking better longer. Plus, it's always a struggle between wanting to preserve a car versus just using it and enjoying it. With 67k on the clock, I've managed to be somewhere between those two extremes. Had a GTO, a Vette, three SHOs, plus several "normal" ones but this is the best car especially with the supercharger and headers.

A few of us on here got the wheels through wheeldude a couple of years ago. They should've made a few more sets, IMHO.

Randy's car is the benchmark for a tastefully modified V. No crazy stuff. Great drivability and proven parts. The next guy to own Randy's car will get a nice ride.

Randy are those 19" wheels and what size tires are you running? They looks a little taller than stock overall but it might just be the pics. I like it.

Hahaha clever license plate. Car looks amazing love the exhaust, rims, and tg paint. that's cool you owned it all these years. Thought up some good plates for my 05 STS that has been in the family all 8 years "STS no V" "Wana be V"

Thanks, Cadzilla8. My DD is a Chevy Cruze ECO. With the block M, it reads "MY ECO." Before that, I had "MYXTYPE" on an '04 Jaguar. Not too clever, really, just fun.

Like to see more picture threads from the rest of you guys. C'mon ... show your pride!

Very nice care you have shown the lady over these 8 1/2 yrs.As they say, you're only as old as you think you are, and I still think AND feel like I'm in my early 30s. This car helps.

Your V is looking great Randy! I really like the wheels too. Keep up the great workThanks, stranger. You must be busy making those GM cars even better. I go on gminsidenews.com quite frequently, and there's a lot of exciting stuff happening there. Hope you have time to relish the good times to come.

I'm actually in the plant right now supporting 3rd shift production. One day I'll get to live a normal life again!

Yeah, I goaded Jason into driving my car at the Dream Cruise. Instead of one "hot lap" up Woodward and back, he did two saying, "Oh, man ... I gotta do that again." :histeric:

I can't make the Dream Cruise. :banghead: My nephew's getting married on the 17th about 100 miles north of there. I can do the afternoon before (I think) for a couple of hours.

Dennis, wanna do Baker's this Sunday or the 4th? Which day works best for you? I can't do the 11th, the 18th, or the 25th. I'll start a thread when I hear back from you. Would be nice to get some of the noobs to show up.

As for the time of ownership, I'm almost right there with you...bought car in March of 2005... Dang it's been a long time.

I can do this Sunday.Just looked. My wife has the day off which means my leash will be attached starting about noon-ish or thereabouts. I can get to Baker's about 10:45 am, but I'd have to leave about noon. What time are you "free?"

EDIT: I'm gonna start a thread anyway.

Randy, it was nice of you to take the wheel chair ramp out of the pic ;) j/k bud!

Randy's car looks as good as the day he bought it. Seriously. I can appreciate a car well kept, and Randy's is definitely that. He let me drive it last year at Woodward as well and it's SO nice!

And I will second the Zaino comment. That stuff is the bomb and will make your car shine like nothing else. People bring their cars to me to have me do them because they love the way mine shines. Maybe I'll make a Zaino thread....hmmmm :hmm:

Love you Randy.

Randy, it was nice of you to take the wheel chair ramp out of the pic ;) j/k bud! ...Just for that, I'm gonna stick around for another 30+ years just so I can see your wheel chair.

Knowing you, you'll probably put a small block in it.

We can race our wheelchairs and throw old cassette taps at kids who step on our lawn so we can see them pick 'em up and say "what the hell are these things?"

But just think what a really cool V2 would look like sitting in your driveway.....

Oh.... nevermind. That is your driveway!

Who else but Randy would I trust to drive my new V with only 40 miles on it. (that's because you drive like an old man :stirpot:)

Your V is looking good.

Randy looks great. Still the benchmark for V1's done right.

Jason are we meeting up for the dream cruise?

Four years later and I still miss my V1.

2.5 years and I still try to sneak a drive out of my V1 every couple months to let her know I still care.

You posted some nice pics of your car... I'd like to do the same but the uploader is giving me grief... tried resizing my pics but still not right... what size are yours? eg: 1024x 768? file size in KB? Thanks

You posted some nice pics of your car... I'd like to do the same but the uploader is giving me grief... tried resizing my pics but still not right... what size are yours? eg: 1024x 768? file size in KB? ThanksI stopped doing it that way at the suggestion of guys here.

Here's what to do. Go to photobucket.com and establish an account for yourself. It's free. Upload your pics straight from your computer or SD card. I'm leaving out the little details, but if I can do it, you can, too. Once uploaded, hover your cursor on the photo you want to post here so that you can copy the link. (There are other options, but you want to copy the link.) Start a post within a thread here and paste that link in there. When you complete your post, the picture will appear and be much better than the old way.

I'm sure there are other ways to do this, but that's my method ... since you asked.
