More than likely it's something on your computer picked up whilst surfing certain linkies.

I think that might be the case, on my computer GE Appliance ads are popping up. I guess that comes from me searching google trying to figure out how to set the dial.

No, that's not from searching websites. Something is wrong. I don't think those are approved ads for this site.

Mine show a bunch of stuff that I don't ever search for. Revshift, rippys, Cadillac appearal and a couple dealerships. Don't think I've ever been to any of the sites before. Is this what cookies are about?

Me too, but some are related to what it thinks you might be interested in based on your browsing history. At the top currently I have a poolsupplies.com ad, probably because I was there yesterday looking for stuff.

We've seen this before - Post #2 explains why. Time to download some free malware killers and do an extensive ?? Windows Defender ?? scan.

Looks like your current spyware program let you down, and I'll bet that your e-mail address book is next to go.

RevShift, Rippy Cadillac, Apparel - those are CF Authorized vendors and their ads might show up from time to time - check out the list of Vendors up in the first forums. If you get banners of ads and want to decrease them - radically - become a Supporting Member.

I'll move this thread out of here and report it to Admin.

Download and install Malwarebytes, boot into safemode, and run it.

How do I become a supporting member? I do apologize for posting it in the rwd thread, I didn't know where to post and for the image as well.
I figured if I didn't, I wouldn't be taken seriously. Again, I apologize for the inappropriate screenshot taken.

You mention reporting it to administration, the issue pertaining to the ads or me posting the topic and picture on the forum?
Again, I do aplogize.
I don't mess with none of the software stuff on the computer. My wife is the one who tackles those issues from time to time. I'll have look into the issue at hand and hope to resolve this.

Thanks
Edgar

By "report it to Admin" is to give our IT people a heads-up so they can do server checks for malware - YOU were not reported; the possibility of malware was. The little triangle icon with ! in the lower left of each post is the "Report post" tab; you are given a text box to indicate why.

To become some level of Supporting member look at the subscription options in the upper right dusty blue bar - My Profile and/or Settings, paid subscriptions (left column, scroll down).

Because the site itself is a business and is also a revenue generator, there are ads ............. you can fork over bucks up front and decrease the amount of ads seen as your level of involvement rises.

Aztec, it depends on if YOU are the person who allowed the visited site to drop redirect cookies onto your computer. The screenshot (Post #1) was removed do to explicit content. It might help to read the first few posts in this thread. So far only one member has reported this occurrence, so the chances are looking pretty good that he created his problem in the first place.

Stop watching internet porn and those parasitic adds will cease.

You're welcome.

If you're not the one surfing pornography, may I suggest installing a keylogger program on your computer, to help discover who the porn addict is.

Karen uses a lingerie site named Bare Necessities. Nice stuff, decent pricing, usually free USPS shipping.

I don't own any, but I cannot say I do not regularly find them left on the mirrors, door handles or hood ornaments of my cars, usually with some sort of note.

As I recall, the "Candid Pictures of our Cars" thread has documented this on several occasions.

Which is why you should undress BEFORE jumping up and down on the bed, at least in the summer. My wife says when we reverse the fan in the winter it doesn't tend to rip them off.

My Scottish Terrier, Thistle, thanks you for this information. She has been trying to figure out how to get those things down from there all Summer. It has been sad to see her sitting there with her little nose pointing ceilingward and whining in frustration. I have told her to cease worrying that come Fall they would too!

I'll be afraid if your wife gets pregnant and 9 months later the baby has four legs.
