I was wondering if it's common at all. My little bro blew the engine in my 94 Eldorado with 150k. I don't know what he was doing. But he sent a rod through the side of the block:madtalkin . Also were is the best place to get a used short block? and what years of shortblocks will fit in a 94?

I do! (did) Had a 2000 that sent a pison through the V of the block..... Rod looked like a pretzel, piston was in 3,000 pieces.... No idea how it happened, piston probably failed structurally (detonation?), cocked to the side, and left the cylinder.

I don't think I have ever seen a North* top fuel car but there were sure a lot IRL/Indy cars with Aurora/North* engines. The first couple of years the attrition rate was horrendous.

I meant that top fuel cars blow a lot of rods and other parts!
