So I loaded the CUE software info onto a USB drive. Now I have an XML file, where can I check to see if I have the latest version?

iirc it's in the settings tab on the home screen.

That's the screen I went to in order to load the info onto a flash drive. So now that I have the info (XML file) what do I do with it?

I believe if you have the option to backup to a flash drive, you have the newest version.

The only thing you do with it is to reload the settings into CUE if you happen to reset to default, or get an update that then wipes out your settings.

Also this question would probably be better answered in the dedicated CUE forum.

Based on my review of the XML file there is no USER set-up info included - at least not in my case - only your VIN # and various types of part numbers (more then just the 3 number listed on the special CUE page which also shows your present Software number), but I didn't see any info as to user settings, thus I do not believe this files is of any usage by users. See also my posts of Apr/10 and May 12 under http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-user-experience-cue/279518-cue-update-status.html Hope this helps. I for one just copied it to my PC, just in case, and forgot about it. bungee91 is correct as to the download feature only being introduced with the Spring CUE update. Whether or not that was the "latest" update I can't tell as, to my knowledge there is unfortunately no GM website listing such updates. (numbers and associated fixes/improvements made, like those posted by various software companies). So you end up here on the forum asking questions and may or may not get the correct answer. Nor necessarily always from GM either as my two quoted posts proved as many of the available GM contacts do not have such info either.
