Very Peculiar thing I noticed about the stock pad, the braking surface is cut by about 20 to 30% because for some odd reason who ever designed the pad decided to put grooves/valleys on the sides. This design makes no sense to me and if anything reduces the amount of the contact surface for the pad and the rotor. Also tricks the owner into thinking they have more pad left when in reality you have to get a new pad when your indicator starts hitting the valleys and not the backing plate of the pad.

Getting Stainless Steel Lines Installed on Thursday with a Motful RBF 660 Flush (Fluid dirty despite it being changed 15k miles ago).

Custom SS Teflon Lines if anyone is interested. The car Stops so much better now its at least a good 30% to 40% Braking Improvement.

I have Ultimax rotors on my Seville, with RedStuff pads. Nice brakes.

The point of the slots in brake pads is the same as the slots in the rotors: To allow gasses and dust to escape from between the pad and rotor.

Chamfers are there mostly for noise reduction, and there are thermal reasons with performance pads as well.

----------

30-40%??? You've reduced your braking distance by almost half?

I have 100% road tested it but Initial Feel is severely drastic, especially after SS Lines and Fluid. Car comes to a stop on a dime, the chamfer information is quite interesting how ever I can't think the pads were still not the best for brake/stopping force.

Update greenstuff was causing grinding going to redstuff soon.

Redstuff swapped in and its even better than the greenstuff. Greenstuff seems like it was bad as I tooke dit out only after 2 or 3k miles and it has cracks in the actual pads.
