http://www.cadillacforums.com/photopost/data/503/959DSC01163-med.JPG WOW!! She looks as good now as Natty in her new black evening dress!! :)
What kind of rubber did you get?? It looks more modern now IMO. Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 03:23 PM They had a set of hankooks on sale int he size i wanted ...never had hanhooks before but from what ive read they are the japanese michelin ...and i love michelins (but didnt want to spend 211 buck a tire for Pilots on a car that didnt have the potential to "use" them turbojimmy 02-27-05, 03:25 PM WOW that looks nice. It's amazing how wheels totally change the attitude of a car. Like Ralph said it really updates it too.
Jim Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 03:27 PM and by the way , thank you jim ....im really happy with the wheels ..... 90devilleguy 02-27-05, 03:32 PM and by the way , thank you jim ....im really happy with the wheels .....
looks good, i for some reason think it looks more like a fleetwood brougham now with those rims but, there's nothing wrong with that. Nice SIG pic Stoney, I brightened it up for you a bit. It's up to you if you want to use the brighter version or not. I'll leave it up for a day or so. :) Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 03:35 PM Nice SIG pic Stoney, I brightened it up for you a bit. its been very rainy for a few days ....but when it clears up im headed out to the spot where i took the old pic in that grass in a park ....thatll be a neat pic ..... is mine showing up dark on you guys monitors ?
Not really, but your avatar pic just seems much brighter than the sig and I thought to match them, etc. Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 03:39 PM looks good, i for some reason think it looks more like a fleetwood brougham now with those rims but, there's nothing wrong with that.
thats fine if it looks like a rear drive ...maybe folks will think theres a LT1 in there .....
took it out for a spin earlier in case anyone is wondering , no ABS codes and speedo is still accurate (measured before and after with GPS)....I had a huge arguement in pepboys ...guy behind the counter said "because the wheels are bigger your ABS wont work and your speedo will be off "
I told the guy "Im plus sizing the tires , that why i need this odd ball size"
hes like "still it wont work"
I told him , "put the friggin tires on , i know what im doing , the diameter is no diffrent if my math is correct" Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 03:40 PM Not really, but your avatar pic just seems much brighter than the sig and I thought to match them, etc.
ahh ok ...ill work on switching them , i saved your version to my hard disk so ive got it now for sure .. turbojimmy 02-27-05, 07:23 PM and by the way , thank you jim ....im really happy with the wheels .....
I'm glad it all came together like it did. I showed my brother the pic and he said "howcome they look so much better on that car than on yours?". I said shuddup. He's right, tho, they look much better on your car. Enjoy!
Jim Caddy01DTS 02-27-05, 07:57 PM Hey man, it looks nice. I think dts wheels are hard to beat. Wheels look good Stoney! The picture is fine I think. Ralph, as a Shutterbug you know the best weather for pics is overcast, no shadows, no stark contrast. It's the best time to shoot your car, no heavy glare.
By the way, Chaniqua is jealous! :shhh: Wheels look good Stoney! The picture is fine I think. Ralph, as a Shutterbug you know the best weather for pics is overcast, no shadows, no stark contrast. It's the best time to shoot your car, no heavy glare.

It doesn't really matter, to each their own. I like shooting in sunlight for some bright color, but not into the sunlight because it washes away all the color. I like bright pics I guess, but you can also tell that in my sig pic, the vinyl roof color is washed away from the sun.
Who is Chaniqua? It doesn't really matter, to each their own. I like shooting in sunlight for some bright color, but not into the sunlight because it washes away all the color. I like bright pics I guess.
It depends on what you are shooting and what look you want to end up with. For inanimate objects with glossy finishes less direct sunlight is sometimes preferable because of the glare factor. Because there are less or no shadows you can get a more even exposure. If you have a paint that reacts to sunlight, then you would want to shoot in the sun. Don't forget to use your flash when shooting with the sun in your face. As you said, to each their own.
Who is Chaniqua?
Chaniqua is Gladys' older sister. She looks like your ride except she is a Sedan DeVille with wire wheel covers. (no vinyl top)
Kev Don't forget to use your flash when shooting with the sun in your face.
Remember, my cameras are 40 and almost 50 years old! No flash, they were bought for outdoor shots for wildlife originally. My siggy was taken with a buddies new Sony Digital model (top of the line) I couldn't go on the other side of my car for that pic because of the bushes, as you can see. It did give my aluminum rims an extra sparkle. :) The car is actually longer but when the pic was adjusted it got shortened. :annoyed:
Don't worry, I also know about the Law of Thirds when shooting too. :sneaky: :D Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 09:41 PM i dont know nutthin bout takeing pictures , i just look at the little LCD preview window and move around till i like what i see ....then i push da button and she does the rest
I love my sony digicam I love my sony digicam
I'm jealous. :( I tink you dun good Stoney!

Remember, that's like $1,000 Cdn!!! :rant2: Just kidding, it's not that much.
What I would like to do eventually is get one where it has some motion ability also. I think most digital cameras allow for some of this right? Then you can burn it to a disc and show it to everyone. I bet yours can do that. If you're even on Ocean Drive Miami, I WANT to see pics!!! (especially after VC) :)
My buddies Sony was 800 dollars a couple of years ago!! I would never pay that much personally, especially with 14% sales tax! Stoneage_Caddy 02-27-05, 10:06 PM Remember, that's like $1,000 Cdn!!! :rant2: Just kidding, it's not that much.

Most of the new digital cameras have limited video capabilities. My Olympus 5050 takes short videos with mono sound. Resolution is low but they can come in handy. Pretty sweet.

For our canadnien freinds FCAT is a florida testing system to see how well (poorly) these kids have learned the material over the year ....the system is doomed to failure due to the states lack of standardization of subject matter tought ....but the test is standardized , anyone see the problem ?
i however begin ancent didnt take the damned thing ...otherwise i would still be in 12th grade EvilXbox 02-28-05, 10:07 PM not sure i would have announced your band membership here ...

My deville is Gladys twin.
These are her new rims on order 17 inch forte 24. here's a pic tell me what you guys think? Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 10:26 PM interesting choice ...how many inch wide is the rim ?
by the way my 225 50 17 is a bit small , you may want to run a 225 55 17 if your rims are 8 inch wide rims ....ive got a small issue with the speedometer not being accurate when measured against my GPS . Show 1.2 mph diffrence at 40 ..3.1mph diffrence at 65mph EvilXbox 02-28-05, 10:27 PM Not bad......I kinda like my brother's a little better but their pretty cool. I've been working my butt off trying to get my stupid science teacher to bring my grade up so when Forza comes out I can play it on my xbox.....and get my computer back....instead of using my parents :sneaky: .... I'd be cool to make a career out of something like that but you'd probably have to learn other instruments like drums or electric/regular guitar?
Smooth, I like those rims. Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 10:33 PM Evil , go introduce yourself over in the new member areas .... EvilXbox 02-28-05, 10:33 PM Slide Trombone,Slide Trigger Trombone (Have 2),Valve Trombone,Tuba,Baritone,Drums,Bass Trombone,Alto Trombone,Little bit of trumpet...So actley 9 Interments. Then if you add computers, cars (Still learning), and video games I'd say so. Kev , you know i keep asking him why his jazz band thing dont play chicago ....i mean there the biggest modern pop music band that uses what i belive is a complete brass section ....
they do steve miller and sanatna , why not the folks that really made brass pop music work ...(tho the stuff is very sappy) EvilXbox 02-28-05, 10:40 PM Or Earth,Wind and Fire. Or maybe Blood,Sweet And Tears? EvilXbox 02-28-05, 10:40 PM http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32998
Ok theres the Intro...What now? Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 10:47 PM oh jeez ....now you think you own the bike ....
ok ill have to bring you up to speed on forum manners .....stop posting ....go to bed ... smooth3d 02-28-05, 10:48 PM There are coming with 225 55 17 nanking ns-1 tires I believe.I paid $1055 shipped mounted and balaced. I just hope they look good on her. Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 10:54 PM they should , you got the right tires thats for sure smooth3d 02-28-05, 10:59 PM Stonage: how has the new rims tires affected your handling and ride? Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 11:09 PM not bad , ive noticed a small increase in some areas of mid size bumps being a bit more harsh initially , which is what you give up with a smaller sidewall....Noise actully came down a bit , this is either due to the wider tire or the new (to me) brand of tire , but i would think a michelin tire would be quieter than a hankook..
so far i cant tell any diffrence in fuel milage , turn in feels a bit more confident but its still limited to the very floaty suspension on these cars ...
In other words , it really hasnt afftced it enough to even bother noticeing smooth3d 02-28-05, 11:31 PM Well thats good, I was scared it would ride much worse. I think these cars handle prettle well for there size
Here is a before pic of my car. It was taken under bad lighting cond. with my hp photosmart digi cam. I take a after shot when the rims come in Stoneage_Caddy 02-28-05, 11:34 PM well i tell you one thing , anythings gonna look beatter than the wheels that are on it ...those were the worst that year in my opion (sorry if you like them)
I liked my stock wheels but they were hard to clean and the clearcoat was coming off ...decided it was time for a new look youbetcha77 03-01-05, 12:42 AM Looks good Stoney.

Every season is old people season in FL, but man you should see the Japanese people here drive, CRAZY! They make the old poeple that drive into the post office(yes that happed a block from my house in FL) look like pro drivers. And iam not trying to bash Japanese people, cause they're pretty nice, but damn they drive crazy! Anyway old people or not, i still miss FL, must be cause my girl is there, ah well.
