Got rid of the run flats & now have Hankook performance tires. Looks like they will need replacing soon. I need advice for best perrformance, quietness, rain perfromance & price.

Search much? We have discussed tires to the moon and back. Go read some of those threads and follow up with more specific questions.

I'll give you a hint - tires are not something you buy to make your car look better, so you'll have better luck searching for threads somewhere other than the Appearance Mods forum.

I'm looking at 255/45 Potenza RE760's or BFGoodrich sport comp-2's myself...

I'm on a Sumitomo HTR-Z III kick lately, I bought two sets for my Z last month and I'm about to pull the trigger again on a third set for the CTS-V. It also helped that Tire Rack has it on sale.

My Audi came with Hankooks when I bought it, they were worn so I bought General GMaxx tires from tirerack which developed a howl after 2,000 miles. I returned them for credit and spent the extra $$$ for Michelin Pilot Sport 3s... 5,000 miles later and I am very happy. They are quite, perform well, and well worth the extra money IMO.

I'm going to be getting a set of Hankook R-S3 tires. Always had good luck with them

So far the pilot super sports are treating me very well. These things are sticky.

I ran the RE760's last year, they were alright for the price. If I was shopping for that price level tire again for the V, I would pretty seriously consider the Hankook Ventus V12.

Can I fit 275/40-18 on all 4 corners or only rears? Anticipating conti DWS extreme contact. I know 275/35 fit on all 4 corners. It want to keep same overall diameter and get 1" wider.

So far the pilot super sports are treating me very well. These things are sticky. These are the tires I have. Great in the rain and very good in the dry.

continentals DW are supposed to be good in the wet, not great in the dry. usually able to find them around or under 200/tire

michelin PSS are supposed to be good. period. from mag reviews to multiple people posting good feedback on multiple forums and multiple vehicles. the only complaint is the price but not the performance. usually able to find them over 200/tire

I have a set of Pilot Super Sports on my Sky RL and they are outstanding. Can't recommend them enough. I have gone around some corners with incredible speed and haven't heard a squeak out of them. Wet traction is also excellent, but the dry grip is really impressive.
