Hello,

I have a 97 Deville. I had a transmission installed this week. When I picked up the car. I got a code "steering problem." My steering wheel was also hard to turn. It did not show this problem before the transmission was installed. How is this so? does not make sense to me. Can anyone help me . The mechanic told me before picking up the car that the code was showing .but did not tell me that the steering was difficult. Does anyone out there have a clue? I want to be able to have something concrete when I talk to the mechanic tomorrow

Im not a mechanic but it sounds like power steering pump went bad? Which couldn't really tie in w/ a transmission.
