I've owner 3 Coupe Devilles, a 90, 91 and 93 and all of them when you pushed the button in on the door handle the interior lights came on as theyt should. However on all three when you did the same on the drivers door the lights did not come on. Is this because the drivers door is used more and the switch is worn out? Can this usually be fixed by cleaning a contact or what gives? I'm a nut and won't rest till my car is 100% operating as if it rolled off the line. Its bad enough I have to live with the CCR system no longer able to be 100%.

I have ran into mine getting dirty and needing cleaned and also needing replacement. I have also ran into the same situation with the theft deterrent, where you actually unlock the door and it doesnt disable the alarm.

i have a 91 SDV and i have the same problem, mine actually worked and i got into the diagnostics and i messed up the code somehow and now it works on the right rear door, so you might want to try looking thru the codes, as i'm trying to do and see if that helps.
