Guys

I'm coming back to the V world after selling my 2011 coupe for a GS vette. I had an ARE CAI on both of 09 sedan and 11 Coupe. Been off the site since I had my GS, but missed the ride and quality of the V, oh I forgot I also miss that sweat whine of the Eaton!!!!

thanks guys

I am another Airaid owner.

Airaid gets the most votes around here.

Good price, good performance.

Also stock looks and easy install (from what I hear)
also I hear people change the filter on it to K&N?

I went with the consensus and bought an Airaid with the dry filter recently (I'm leary of K&N and wet filters with MAF elements).

It was $330 from Autozone, with $75 in gift cards as a promo item - not still if that deal is still going on but $250 for a brand-new plastic tube is hard to beat. :D

$250 is a good price.
You may consider changing the filter to larger high flow Green filter #2382.
It fits no problem:

For the $$ ?? Cut the bottom off the stock filter housing. If you're above 600 RWHP, add the Lingenfelter solid tube.

If interested, I have a D3 air intake for sale. Doesn't come with the heat shield, though. I ran it with a stock lower air box and the brake duct mod. I'm letting it go pretty cheap.

I was looking at the New Era cold air intake not sure if its marketing BS or not but they claim the following

Chassis Dyno results on a completely stock CTS-V equipped with our intake yielded an incredible gain of 34rwhp and 28lb/ft rwtq. With the addition of a custom PCM tune, we gained an additional 20rwhp and 5lb/ft rwtq to make an overall gain of 54rwhp and 33lb/ft rwtq! an incredibly noticeable power gain.

For $399 that is cheap HP gain, I noticed some member also running the Green Filter on the New Era CAI as well for even more air flow.

The only possible con to this CAI is that it is metal vs. plastic or carbon fiber and can conduct heat.

Would be great to get some more feedback from them members on this.

I'm still stock but thinking about adding a CAI soon
