: 3rd gear stumble

When I'm accelerating through 3rd gear (not aggressively, just half WOT or less), I noticed a slight stumble in the lower RPM ranges when in 3rd gear. So passing through 2000 or 2500 rpm, it seems the car stumbles, or even maybe feels like the tranny slips a bit.

I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination, and I've noticed it on numerous occasions.

Anybody else?

Hello MacBuster,

Sorry you seem to be having some issues here with your vehicle. Have you had the opportunity to discuss this issue with your dealership?

I believe this is in the transition area between air-fuel management modes; have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? If you feel uneasy about doing it yourself, definitely take it to the dealer...
