Hi i'm a newbie to the caddy scene. I've always loved GMs products but am mostly International interested.

anyway back to the Tieck

I buddie gave me this 78 Caddy 425 and TH 400 to use in my scout (no engine) so I was wondering

Is the 425 worth the time and money to put into it ( I know the 472 and 500 are the ticket items)

How are they in their stock setup?

i'm going to be tearing into it to clean it out (really sludgy) so is their anything I should look for other then the ordinary.

what mods can be done for more torque

should I bother with it or just look for a 472, 500

thanks. :worship:

hey glad to see anoter IH buff here. down in the Pushrod forum there is quite a bit of info. Tru the 472s and 500s are the hot ticket but 425s can be built to hold there own.

the ol' binder looks pretty good. I see what I can arrange to get it moved
