hi i have a 1997 Cadillac deville that i am currently trying to fix up into a weekend driver. i was looking around under the hood and i have found a hose that was not connected to anything. i have no idea what it is for and where it goes. can any one help me out? it comes from the firewall right under the brake booster. if anyone knows where it goes please let me know.

I think it's the hose for the automatic parking brake release.

Which hose am I looking at? Them pictures are dark and can't see shhhhh
I know one is for the cruise control, other maybe to fuel economy switch and a check valve that goes to a steel tubing to carb.
Can you retake and point out which one it is? I am looking at my 77 service manual...

The pic is rotated to the left. E-brake or cruise control would be my guess.

Took a look at my 80 coupe and it goes to cruise control connected via a T then around back of air filter housing to another T then leads somewhere towards front of engine by A/C compressor.

the one im talking about is just left from the hose you are talking about. The hose that breaks off to a T is fine in my vehicle.
does the hose go to the diaphragm in the valve covers?
sorry about the bad pictures.
