“Instead of paying $500-$700 to improve the exhaust sound with an aftermarket Cat Back why not pay $159 and make your RX-8 sound like a 71’ Hemi Cuda?”

This is too funny. My BF was telling me about them, but I thought he was kidding. Then, I found them online. :hmm:

Just like REAL thunder - NO electric/electronc sound system on earth can reproduce the real thing.

This is a good business strategy.
Take something really obnoxious and complicated then make it simple for idiots to use. Like making a small computer that synthesizes engine noises based on throttle position and duration, then making it plug and play for the morons.
Next step: Profit!

The more I think about it, the more I want to put one in my yoga pants to set off during class. I wonder if they would fit?

The sad part is there are companies who use such trick to produce fake engine noise. But instead of some silly name like VroomBox, they call it " Active Sound Design technology" or "sound symposer", just to make it sound smart! But it is still one of the most idiotic things that I have heard and read:
