when using the climate control feature on these cars, if you turn down the temp on one side of the car, should the fan slow down on the other side to? ie - if both are set at 90 and the driver turns his to 80, should the passenger fan slow down with the driver's?

I believe there is only one fan. When changing the dual zone tempurature, the only thing you are doing is changing the air mix door possition.

And you shouldn't keep the zones more than 3 or 4 degrees hotter/colder than one another, anyway...
