Car: 2008 Cadillac Escalade with Nav Bose Audio System

I burned a MP3 CD using Itunes. All the ID3 tags in itunes are corrected and displays fine on my Iphone. But when I burned the playlist to a MP3 CD, some of the songs name are not showing or are in weird unrecognizable letters. Can someone tell me what would be the best way to burn mp3 cd for the truck. Maybe a specific software or sttings.

Also can I burn a MP3 DVD?

Is there a specif way to tag the ID3 tags so it will show up and not be blanks and weird character? Also any idea why every time I click the folder button it scans. TY

I've wondered this too, anyone know the best way to burn MP3 CD's on our Escalades. I hate that it has to scan every time I turn the truck on, sometimes it takes up to a minute to scan for the songs once you hit the "Folder" button. Sometimes I also get "Unknown" and sometimes it displays properly. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

This may be an old thread, but I think it can still be very applicable to those fighting the issue.

I had a heck of a time formatting my MP3 tags for my 2009 Corvette, which uses a different head unit than my 2009 Escalade. My Corvette would accept ID3v2.x tags, but you had to ensure the titles were less than 30 characters (even though IDv2.x supports more) or the titles would play with the wrong tags showing. More specifically, if track 1 had a title with less than 30 characters, it would show correctly and play correctly. If track 2 had a 31+ character title, it would play correctly, but would show the title of the next track that had a title of less than 30 characters (which might be the next track, or a track 3 songs up). It was very confusing.

The Escalade, using ID3v2.x, just shows Unknown for everything (title, artist, album). I converted all my Escalade MP3's to ID3v1 and it works perfectly!
