I have the 2006 Cadillac SRX.

I have an issue with the code p0008.

Somebody told me to change the camshaft position sensor.

I changed it and still I have the same code.

Do they have to be reset by the Cadillac dealership or with the computer. What do I do next?

Did you change the one on the right side (bank 1)? Code will go away after 4 driving cycles if you corrected the problem.
You may also have timing chain issues beginning.

P0008 is typically a stretched timing chain p0016 usually is the cam sensor. Definitely get it checked out before damage occurs.
