: looking at buying 2004 srx

I'm looking at buying a 2004 sex northstar v8 . Went to look at it today a few warnings came up one for service tire sensor. Abs/traction control lights on. He says because of shocks being blown. Both rear shocks are done but I do not hear the compressor kick in on startup. He only wants 4800 for it. It has 161000km I think that's around 100000 miles.
Could the abs light be from the suspension stability control or is it a wheel hub most likely.
Thanks for any input

Where are you from, if he reads KM (Canada). If your in Europe stay away from it ( I only say that it sounds like you need major parts. And you have a 2004 sex northstar v8 (sex)

I would buy that if in the market, that's cheap.

Check the codes to make sure there's nothing catastrophic wrong with it. If not, that's a solid buy.

Guys its an 04 with 160k on it, it has issues but the price is not that far out of line is it?

Not knowing the exact options kbb private part in excellent condition ranges from $8k base to $12k fully loaded so something major has to be wrong or is about to go wrong. If its a v8 go for it v6 don't do it. That price seems WAY too low. Not too many ppl will list a luxury vehicle less than half its value unless they know it has issues

It has issues and warning lights on .. that he's told us about. $4800 like you, repnatl, said is about half book price. Whether or not he should buy it depends on if he wants an SRX that has issues at a reasonable price or one that he needs to do nothing with at book or above book price. If he wants one and doesn't care if he has to put a bit of money and elbow grease into it, and he buys it realizing it, it would be a realistic purchase.
