: Hood Seal

Can someone do me a favor? Can one of y'all open your hood and look to see if there is a rubber seal for the passenger side fender where it meets the hood in the engine compartment. I just noticed that my V doesn't have a seal on that side, but I do have a seal on the driver side. I assume that mine is missing. I have tried to email one of the dealers that I buy parts from, but he hasn't been able to find the part on his books and I hate to take it in to my local dealer for something this small. I don't mind paying $15 for a stupid piece of rubber. Thanks in advance.

Yup, there's one on each side. But the one on the passenger side is not glued/attached very well.

yep. it's a shorter piece....going from the radiator support back to where that plastic piece contacts the fender lip in front of the battery.

Kind of related:
Does anyone else have a problem keeping the rubber seal to the rear of the engine compartment (the thick one just under the wiper blades) in place? It seems that everytime I open my hood the part that runs in the bend over the battery is falling out of place. If I remember it the next time I have an oil change, I think I'm going to ask the dealership to glue or silicone it in place...

I hadn't noticed this before, but I will check it out in the morning to see if mine does it also.
