: CTS-V Drivers: How old r u?

Hello All, I just got an 05 black/black. I am 30 years old and my girl says that Cadillac is for old people. I guess this was always the image since they never really made anything sporty or young looking with this power. I explained to her that Caddy is after a new image and generation of customers but she still thinks it's old.

I want to use this thread to prove to her that this is not the case. In any event, if you could post your age, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
Jack :sneaky:

Lots of people in their 30's here.

Enough cash to buy the car. Young enough to use this new fangled Internet thing ;)

Your girlfriend is DEAD wrong.. You are actually in the Biggest segment for CTS-V Owners: Here are some results from a survey I did a few months ago:
Age
under 20 10%
21-30 18%
31-40 34%
41-50 16%
51-60 17%
over 60 5%

As you can see the largest amount of people are in the 31-40 range.

See more results here: Http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/results.html

and fill out the second version of the survey here: http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/survey.html

When I get a good number, I will post the results of survey 2. We are at 70 or so responses now.

43 years young. BTW, this V makes me feel like I was in my 20's wanting to race everything in sight...hmmmm, this could mean "trouble" or atleast a speeding ticket. :)
p.s. Took my sister for the first time out, gave her an "e-ticket" ride...I don't think she will be asking me anymore.... ;)

Do what I did - I have a friend that called it an old man's car. I waited for the break in to be complete, then I took him for a ride. He doesn't call it an old man's car anymore. He won't get in it either, but he doesn't make fun of it. lol.

:yeah:

The first two weeks I had my car, there wasn't a day that I didn't see the 'stabilitrac engaged' graphic on the DIC. I probabaly shouldn't have a car like this :sneaky:

I couldn't even begin to imagine having a car like this in my teens. I'm failry confident I wouldn't be here now.

I was always mad at my dad for selling his '68 Charger (383) when I ws 15. Now I'm glad. It's so hard to admint your dad was right, even now.

34 1/2, and mine has a car seat in the back. Last night my wife was on my tail so I nailed it a bit to give me some room. The cell phone rings..."No burning the tires with your daughter in the car!" My 15 month old loves the car. She never cries while in it and always seems interested, on the otherhand she hates to be in the X5, so I guess she's Daddy's little girl.

56 ... got it for my birthday ... love it. Look, I still feel and think like I'm still in my 20's; I've had some cool cars in the past. The V is great, and I'll always want a car that's got this kind of power and handling. With three boys in their early twenties/late teens and a two year old (with my second wife who's 44), I'm not dead yet!!! Wait till your girlfriend gets a bit older. Will she still "think young"? Stop thinking young and you WILL be old.

58, five children, one granddaughter, Corsa exhaust, new GSD3's, radar detector, thinking about tinting the glass next. I bought a Caddy when I was 39, a Fleetwood D'elegance--now that was an old man's car. Next was a 90 Lincoln Town Car, another cruiser. Frankly, I look quite good in my black V, and it is certainly the most fun I have had in a car since my 84 Corvette.

65 - When I get behind the wheel of my "V" I feel 25! But this is nothing new. I've had performance cars all of my life (GTO's, Mustangs, Trans-Ams) and just wasn't ready to give them up yet. I can honestly say that this car is the best car I've ever owned (including the above list.) Besides, I still have my '99 DeVille as my "beater" (just kidding - I don't beat any of my cars.)

NEMO... I love to see I'm not the only one who uses a little visual entertainment to keep the kids at bay. I could recite Monsters Inc. to you line by line.

I'm hoping I can open the windows soon and add that Corsa exhaust for the kids to enjoy. Honest honey, the $1200 invoice for new tires was because the kids keep telling me to floor out of each corner...:D
