Well it seems we have a few open modification issues. I wanted to sumaraize in a single thread the status to keep it in one place to keep track of:

1. 04 to 05 combined onstar/ XM antenna
Will the 05 work on the 04 and get rid of that stupid window wart?
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28729
2. Clear DRL (not FOG- edit) lamps
Does the SRX one work
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31354
3. XM nav traffic
Not available yet- we can tackle when we see it
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31351
4. TV module in the CTS
We all kinda agree it probably wont work, but we can still hope
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31242
5. Aux input into the NAV screen
We all hope it works, but nobody has tried it
kinda- http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30108&page=2

Post here if YOU PERSONALLY have completed one of these projects or are working on it. Post technical discussions in the original thread please. Post other projects if we forogt about them.

Would it be a good idea to make this topic a sticky, so it won't get drilled down in the next week or two?

RE: Clear DRL lenses (it's not fog lamps, Reed)... Took Step One and talked to the parts guy; he sez they don't sell the SRX lens as a separate part; you have to order the whole unit (DRL+Fog). Yegodz!

What about using STS lights?

To achieve the clear DRL. Doesn't the STS have clear DRLs in a similar location as the CTS?

Gee, I was all set to buy a nav system A/V feed from NAVI (one of the banner ads on this forum), but when I clicked through to their site I found this disturbing text:

"The NaviPlus interface is made using sophisticated technology that substitutes old fashioned and unreliable relays for microprocessor chips."

I like microprocessor chips! Why would they substitute old fashioned unreliable relays for them? Hmmm... :hmm:

I think you may have misread...

IMO I believe they mean THEY replace the old stuff by Caddy with new micros that are more reliable. I doubt they would replace new chips with old, unreliable stuff.
:bighead:

instead of "for" they could mean "with"....

either way, a phone call could clear it up no problem
