I just bought the brake light switch for my catera since my brake lights don't work(what else is new:rant2: ) but anyways to stay on track...does anybody know what all I have to do to get this taken care of? I don't want to take it to a dealership only because they charge too damn much and I'm a broke messican:shhh: :tongue2:

it might not be the same but on my sentra and my s10 the brake light switch is right behind the pedal usually held in with a clip and a plug.

It would be helpful if you put the year of your Catera in your post when asking for help. :tisk: Here's a PDF of how to replace the switch in a 1998 (should be this way for the 97-99 models at least). You won't need any special tools - just ordinary hand tools. Of course, this assumes that the brake light switch is actually the source of the problem. :crying:
Hope this helps,
