I have an 08 DI with 76k miles on it. I wanted to know if the mods I want to do are worth it for my car and if it would impact my car in a negative way. I wanted a CAI, ported throttle body, vmax iceolator, a catch can (obviously not for performance), and a tune once I get the bolt on mods. Obviously I'm not gonna get crazy gains...don't want that. I am interested in better response, fuel efficiency, etc.
any help would be appreciated :)

I am also wanting the same things for my '09 CTS4. Also, is the Airaid worth the big bucks or just drop in a K&N filter. Since I am a newbe with this car, what is the deal with the catch can? Can't find an answer in search....maybe not doing it right?
I was told that a CAI is not as big a deal in our cars unless you add forced induction. Our intakes are actually well made. Iceolator, TB, and a tune and you'll be happy, from what I hear

No bolt on mod will do much by itself. If you install a better cai the TB is still the same so not much will change. If you install a bigger TB then, the plenum is still the same, so not much will change. You can use this logic until you replace the cai, TB, plenum, headers, midpipe, and catback. Then you will need to tune the car to accept more fuel for all that air and have some nice gains but it will cost $$$$
also not that big of an aftermarket for our cars

Don't tell Nos.
I know, off subject. LOL
I think we have veered off into a different direction but my original question wasnt answered. Would any of those mods that I posted about hurt my car in any way, having 75k miles on it?

The mods you selected will definitly not increase the resale value. If anything it might reduce its value in the mind of older buyers. Funny thing is older cars with high miles are already deprecated, so it will have little or no impact. A new buyer will typically not recognize the mods, as long as the vehicle runs well. I say go for it. The cai, tb, ice-olator, caliper covers, grill overlays and plasti-dip wheels on my cts coupe made me one happy customer! Still on the fence regarding the oil catch can, until my warranty expires or I get the okay from the cadi dealer. Enjoy your ride and proceed as you wish, but remember our cars don't appreciate in value.
Oh, I forgot my two favorite mods; borla axil back exhaust and a new steering wheel with shift buttons that let me enjoy the upper RPMs, added throttle respose, and more low-end torqe.

I understand and I apologize.
