I'm new to this forum and cadillacs. I have fallen in love with the V after my first test drive. I am strongly negotiating it and have been able to get this number so far. I really don't think I can get much better but I will turn to you all for help.
2005 36 months 12,000 miles w/$2500 out of pocket to pay $670 tax in.
I appreciate the feedback from everyone.
Buy the way, great board this is.

Next time I'll have you negotiate my lease which I did rather poorly last March. Unfortunately, at that time these cars were scarce--I could only find one in Santa Clara County, so I took it on the chin. Your numbers are simply outstanding . You didn't mention the residual value which might be a factor if you were considering buying it out of the lease. And you might ask them for the difference if you took $15000 miles instead of 12000. Normally it comes out about the same, that is, the overage charge per mile is about the same that they add on to your monthly now if you commit to 15000. I am just finding I am driving this car more than previous cars. I guess it's more fun.

Actually, I just took that quote to another dealer and got $2300 out of pocket and $670 inclduing taxes. Sames as before, 12000 miles, 36 months. I really don't think I will purchase at the end because I change cars very often and like driving different models every certain years.

Does this payment include the optional gap insurance through GMAC? My Smartbuy deal from Dec. 18th was this:
2005 V with moonroof
$678/mo for 48months
Absolutely nothing out of pocket (texas sales tax included in payment ~ $3k)
Includes gap insurance (without would have made payment $648/mo)
Round Rock, TX

I really don't know. I didn't know it was an option, but instead a requirment. I guess I will have to find out. I don't want to be in a 48 month term, too long for me. I go through cars quick.

Well, this is it. $650 tax in with $2200 out of pocket for 12,000 miles and 36 months. This is a fully loaded V including the shock package. Not bad I think. What do you think?
Thanks. :yup: :yup: :yup:
For what it's worth, I'm a manager at a Cadillac dealership in Jackson, MS. As of the moment, only V we have on the ground (besides the one I own myself that stays parked in the back) is an '05 Redline w/roof and FG2. 36 months/12000 miles, NO money out of pocket (well, just first payment) $694.84 (with 5% MS sales tax included) The $2200 out of pocket would put you just under $650.
