Well, it looks like my new job came through *again*, so it seems Im headed to Pennsylvania. As I dont want to deal with Insurance headaches and a floaty rear drive sedan in snowy PA, I scouted out some GM truck muscle last night and came up with these two 4WD options.

Used Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4X4 LT Quad Cab (not Extended), Either Duramax Diesel or standard 6.0L V8

Personally I would go with a used Tahoe with the Z71 package. I had a fully loaded 2002 Z71 Suburban and it gave me 40,000 miles of perfect performance. You can find used examples fairly inexpensive at the moment. Most come with heated seats, Bose, Moonroof, the works. You cannot get leveling with the Z71 though, but you do get some upgrades suspension parts, body colored bumpers and moding, different roof rack, wheels, DVD,etc etc. The ride was not rough at all despite the "offroad" package. Goodluck

Yea, so far the only one used at the dealer I went to is the 6.0L V8 model. The Duramax Diesel's are not that easy to find down here. I know the NEW ones I looked at the sticker on were like 47k, thats damn near Escalade territory! Ohh man but the SOUND and SMELL of the Diesel.... so intoxicating, I love it.

the 6.0 is awesome. i pulled the trans am home from carlisle with a 1500 HD crew cab short bed 4x4 that i borrowed. ~350 miles, no problem. pulled almost as hard loaded as it did empty.

My aunt has a 5.3 Tahoe. It's an OK vehicle, sucks the gas even compared with my ETC.
