: Bigger wheels reduce mpg?

My CTS 3.0 has the factory 17s, and I wanted to go up to black 20s. I know it may be a bit slower if the wheels are heavier, but have people noticed a drop in MPG by going to a 20" wheel? If so, I may stick with 18s depending on the drop...

Everything changes...ride, braking, and mileage. Just do it

How much MPG we talking though? One of the main reasons I got the cts was better mpg over my ram, so dont want to be going too far in the opposite direction with mpg

Heavier wheels will probably reduce it, but what mpg are you getting now?

I have 22" wheels on my CTS. They came on the car as well as the stock set and I have yet to put the stock wheels on so I can't really compare, but i did make a 4 hour drive on the high way and average 23 mpgs. You can definitely feel every bump but it is worth it in my opinion.

I get 18-20 on my 12 sedan with the factory 19s and awd
