I've searched and nothing came up but is there anyway to change the backround picture on the navigation stereo? The one that looks like music notes.

Sometimes it is difficult when on a dumbphone. It is even more difficult since The Judge hasn't brought his anti-moron app to market yet.

You're right C T ESS...my apology to the op. Been a little short lately due to a stomach bug...that wasn't right.

I do wish we could change the background myself but it cannot be done.

I can't imaging there isn't one geek in the crowd here that can help us get into the radio software to make it actually functional. I never have the NAV screen in the up position due to the vast waste of real estate that is wasted and the radio display can't show the entire song title and group name. It is a windows OS. This should be something we can work with. Can't anyone help us? Puhleeeease. We're in the year 2013 with a radio display that was designed about 5 minutes after they invented the game Pong. (Google it youngsters, that's probably an accurate statement) :-)

I completely agree with you, HurstGN. I can't stand the way this software doesn't deliver. I had an aftermarket Sirius radio that I put in another car I used to own. The name scrolled through so I could actually read the song title and artist. This is the worst, and that nav screen, well, that's just a POS. I like the way you put it, "...vast waste of real estate...".

There is a thread here discussing the firmware although its a bit old...someone said the PC won't even see the OS on the HDD so our chances are very slim if not none.

I have a base CTS without the nav screen and if I press info on a station that provides info, the artists and titles are continuously displayed. It also displays titles and artists off CDs. Does the stereo with nav not do that?

It does display the song/artist when the screen is up but I don't believe it does when it's down...
