I went and checked on the 93 Deville that I had under a cover the last few months and noticed that the coolant has a black tint to it and was wondering what the hell it was.....The only thing I can think is that my cousin put the Golds Bar Leak in the resvoir and it didnt all sink in???

Should I go get the radiator flushed before I start driving it again regularly

A black tint to it...????

The coolant supplement will make the coolant look slightly "muddy" on occassion..but that looks more brown or tan looking.

If yours is distinctly black I would consider the possibility that the oil cooler or the transcooler is leaking oil into the coolant at the radiator end tank heat exchangers.

Regardless, I would drain the system to get a better look at what is in the coolant and what the bulk of the coolant looks like. The coolant supplement is light tan or brown particles so that would be normal if the system was dosed with the sealant. It is not oily at all. If there is any oily residue then you need to pressure check the engine oil and trans oil heat exchangers for leaks...

Either way, a 93 would have the green silicated coolant that needs replacement occasionally so it would be a good idea to drain it and refill with fresh stuff anyway.

Well the coolant is darker then what it was originally thats for sure...but it could be described as brown and it had some little chunks in it.....im not sure what the chunks would be dirt maybe? The guy I purchased it from didnt have a coolant cap on it  and only had some saran wrap on it until I bought the cap for it

More then likely its going to get flushed in a couple days when its back on the road again
