Hi Guy's,
New to the forum. I have just purchased my first CTS-V, a 2004 model with just 14,000 miles on it. It's immaculate and has always been garaged. Pick it up next Friday.

14k miles?!! It amazes me that some of these cars get mothballed only to surface several years later when someone who's actually gonna drive them buys one. GREAT find!

Oh, and welcome!

Was a sad story really. Original owner purchased it new in 2004 as a 3rd car, weekend driver. He was taken ill in 2007 and passed away last year. His son was selling on behalf of his mother, she had driven it a little but did not like standards. They were trying to keep it in the family but no one wanted it. I did a car fax check on the vin and it all checked out. It does look like new. Here is a picture of it.

Well that sucks for the family. If anyone in my family has power sports stuff or tools or anything I'd jump on that. If you feel that bad I'll trade you mine... 84k miles, stainless works header back exhaust. You know just in case the guilt weighs too heavily and whatnot.

I'm torn. I'd actually like to see that kept as a weekend driver with the miles down...

Yeah, We are torn too. We were going to replace one of our daily drivers with it. Instead we have decided to use it as a weekend car and backup car for the week because of the mileage.

I think its getting to the point that you can keep that V as an investment...

^^^ I agree. How much did you pay...if you don't mind sharing? I would be a little afraid to DD something that special.

We paid $20K for it. Most we were looking at we're around the 18K mark with a lot more miles on them so we thought might as well pay the extra. The car looks and feels like a new car.

Drove it back from Austin today. Great fun and its surprising how easy it is to speed in it. Previous owner even left me a gift in the glove box, a radar detector.:D
