I've been contemplating adding a rear spoiler to my 2005 STS v6. I've come across a number on eBay ranging from $40-$517. Here are a few links of my top pics. Can anyone share their experience in purchasing and installing a spoiler bought from eBay? Are there any success or horror stories?

I really like the wrap around feature but $517 ouch! Anyone know where I can get this for less?

Thanks,
DBB

Do a search, someone did a write u on an install of one of the ebay spoilers a while back. Looked pretty good. It may be in the stickies now.

If you're interested, there's a guy that has a bunch of V spoilers in the STS-V classifieds.

Then you could have 2 center brake lights.

I'm not following you...

Haha Because the brakelight for the regular sts is on the top of the vertical portion of the trunklid and the brakelight for the v is in the spoiler. It's higher up. Hadn't thought of it but I believe the spoiler would cover the brakelight on the trunklid. It kinda comes down on the vertical part of the trunk a few inches. I think it would work.

If not then the teenager twittering her friends that she's on the way will be more likely to see you stopping

The teenager behind you that is. I ruined it. :helpless:

Yeah it can be done. At least one person on here did it (V spoiler) who is no longer on here.

It was my attempt at humor.

Well I thought it was funny. I tried to be funny there too. Delivery was all wrong. Not quitting the day job don't worry.

I did the lower one. Came paint matched and just stuck it on with the sticky tape, no holes drilled.
Still on there real solid and looks great.

I ordered an "OEM" style rear spoiler made by Remin from Carid on eBay. I liked the looks of it and it comes with a long warranty. It calls for a bolt on application.

Looks really good, also good match on the paint. It definitely improves the look of the rear.

Agreed, which is why I added one to my 08 like you did with the same guy from eBay.
The STS's trunklid is just too plain on its own in my mind.
