I've been using a Power Tank for putting air in my RV tires and on my '01 Denali after driving on the beach. It works great! Just like having a filling station air hose to use whenever you need it. WAY, WAY faster than a 12v air compressor. The Power shot regulator with a 5 gallon CO2 tankI got on Ebay weighs about 22 lbs. The reg is $190 and the tank was $25. Weighs less and costs less than a spare.

That only solves the smallest of problems when running without a spare. When your tire is doing its best impression of a Brazilian soccer player, an air compressor is not going to help.
