hey i just changed the oil on my 1996 deville, after dricing it for about 200 miles, my computer is saying low oil pressure and stop engine now. I have the right amount of oil in the car and the engine runs real smooth. Could this be a computer problem?

Well...do you think that the engine has oil pressure??? You can open the oil filler cap and idle the engine and see oil coming out the front cam bearing interface to check if it has oil pressure....or...it is going to start to get pretty noisy if it has no oil pressure as the tappets start to bleed down.
If the engine has good oil pressure then likely the problem is just the low oil pressure switch that is screwed into the oil filter adapter just above the oil filter. Not too uncommon to hear of one of those failing at high miles.....
If the engine really has lost oil pressure then it may be due to a stuck oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump. Major problem...but easy to fix usually. Get some oil and overfill the sump with an additional 8 quarts of oil.... That will raise the oil level in the sump to the point that it submerges the oil pump and it will force it to prime. Rev the engine gently several times with the overfill to make sure it has oil pressure and then rev it to about 3500 or so to force the oil pump relief valve to open which will blow out the debris that caught it and held it open. Drain the oil level back to standard and forget about it.

yes, i am pretty sure that it has oil pressure. It does'nt get noisy or make any strange noises. i will definetly check those things out. I hope its nothing to major. the engine runs real smooth when the notice comes up on the computer.

If you have been driving it with the message showing up then it is probably just the low oil pressure switch, then.
