Damn, i bought a 94 eldo and was telling everyone how it had 295hp. I read all over the forum and didnt see that they made a standard eldo with270hp. Oh well, guess ill have to quit bragging. Hmm, i really wanted a 300hp car though!!!

Yea there are 3 types of eldos, standard, sports coupe(ESC), and touring coupe(ETC).The 95' on up got an extra 5 hp which makes them 300 hp(ETC's) and 275(std,and ESC's).It doesnt really matter cuz A caddy is caddy, and your still ridin phat so enjoy the el.But if you really want those 300 horses you can always moditify ur engine.I hope you enjoy the ride!

It's not worth modifying the engine for the extra HP. The lower HP engines have more torque anyways!

Not trying to be a censor, but I don't think we need to get into scatalogical terminology to make a point. Too many boards on the net are filled with potty mouth. I'd rather have informed, adult discussion.

Yup...

I went from an ESC to an ETC and I miss my weaker 270HP motor... The ETC really screams on the freeway, but leaves a lot to be desired compared to my older 270HP ESC...

Now if they'd have only built a 270HP car with the ETC options and suspension, I'd have been a happy camper...

Really, that makes me feel better.

Is the 300hp less torque motor have less power at lower rpm then?? I know that one has different final ratio, so im assuming the more power has lower gears and will go faster, but almost less power feel??

Just curious then, what are 0-60 times for each??

It has 5 less lb ft of torque a little higher in the power band. The 25hp, and much lower gearing make up for it though. The ESC will pull harder under light acceleration, and will launch harder, but the ETC will still be faster. The ETC will also pull harder when on the highway, especially when accelerating from higher speeds like 70+mph. Overall, they are both really nice cars, and they are both fast.

Not trying to start anything, but, Most adults I know use the "s word" with other adults and in an appropriate enviroment. I would guess most people on this board are adults as most 14 year olds dont drive Caddies.

I think this board is just fine with potty mouth issues, I have yet to be offended.

Just my opinion, not wanting to start an argument.

Hmm thats what i thought too, when i was 14 i swore more than i do now. You should hear the guys that do our sheetrock. Boy if they called into the radio station, all you would hear is beep beep and beep. Any dont give me the religous thing either, ive heard pastors swear at things too, esp working on his car.:rant2: LOL. :histeric:He was the only pastor i knew that rebuilt his turbo coupe. His son was my age and in my class. Pastor was divorced and made awesome stuff crust pizza, i think that was before pizza hut even made it. Anyway, I swear, dont like it, too bad. :violin:
