: CUE: Shuffle by Default?

So I searched AND been through al thinkable menus and couldn't find a definitive answer.
I went out and bout the new gen iPod Nano and it connects to CUE via the USB ports flawlessly.
The only thing I just can't figure out is how to get the songs to shuffle by default. Every time I start up the car, I have to go into the menu settings and hit shuffle.
Any remedies? Thanks! :cool2:

Turn shuffle on in the iPod settings, it seems CUE gets its cue (pun intended) from the player, this drove me nuts for a couple weeks. Also turn off soundcheck and any EQ, these just conflict with the radio settings will sound much better

from one audiophile to another: THANK YOU!

now if only the damn ipod nano had a generic across the board shuffle setting instead of per playlist...it DID work when I hitmshuffle on the list and reconnected though :)

very welcome, as an amateur audiophile, (probably don't have and will never claim the golden ears) I've been experimenting and continue to tweak CUES settings in the quest for the ultimate set it and forget it configuration to my ears, here are my thoughts so far:

Bass is ok needs some punching up, Highs are ok too, mids seem too hot to me especially when using centerpoint, but it sounds good sometimes and others seems like its trying to pop your head with the singers voice especially listening to classic rock or 80's alternative. here's the rub, it seems to me like there is a big hole in the mid-bass so i'm hesitant to turn the mids down for fear of making the hole worse, it sounds like the crossover points are too far apart from the rolloff of the sub to the rollon of the mids. you can hear this if you listen to R. Kelly "home Alone" where that songs has a funky rolling bass line that is a prominent feature of the song yet it's difficult to hear on CUE. I occasionally hear (or rather don't hear) this hole in songs that i'm familiar with and it seems it occurs a little more in R&B and dance music. I'm also wondering if this is a side effect of the active noise canceling, since mid bass is also the range of engine and road noise i might look for a fuse or something to disable it, if i can, to see if it makes a difference, just my thoughts, still tweaking,....and if Caddy is listening give us pro-sumers who bought in to the CUE journey give us an EQ or at least mid-bass and mid-high adjustment and a wider adjustment range please

By the way, for anyone using the USB stick for their songs, since the last CUE update if you set your CUE to shuffle....it will remain on shuffle next time you start up car, until you take it off.

I have had 3 ATS loaners this week and this has been driving me absolutely nuts with all 3 of them not defaulting to shuffle when restarting the car using a flash drive in the USB.
The loaners must not have the latest update.
This would be a major deal breaker for me possibly considering switching to an ATS

They must not....the update definitely takes care of this....

I've synced my iTunes to a SD card. The card plays very well (viz., great with voice commands - playlist, genre, etc) through CUE. Will CUE's "shuffle" work with the SD card?
