i'm no stranger to car stereo installs. however i'm kinda at a loss as to how to add a CD player to my 78 sedan deville without cutting a hole in the dash where my stock cool woodgrain am/fm/8 track/cb combo is.

i was planning to just install a CD head unit with new wires and cables to the rear for a pair of 6x9's in the stock location and possibly the sub box out of my other car.

due to the originality of my car i don't want to do anything that can't be done, hence the desire to not cut the dash.

anybody done this before?

just go to the junk yard and buy a spare wood grain piece, cut it, then cut the metal behind yours , then save your original piece, if you wanted to put it back to stock, a pop rivitor, a couple strips of metal and a drill would make the stock one fit again

If you are positive you dont wanna cut, just put the new deck in the glovebox
