Let me run this by you guys:

I think my recirculate door actuator may be non-functional (AKA Toast!) and although the part is relatively inexpensive, it looks like its kind of a pain in the butt to get to and change out according to the Factory Service manual

I know that the light flashes if it disallows recirculate to be selected (like on defrost mode) but when i have the settings correct and try to set it to recirculate, the light comes on, but there is NO noise of the door moving, the noise of the blower doesn't change, and it continues to pull air through the cowl just below the windshield. Also, air continues to flow through the vents when driving with the blower off, which means its still flowing from outside the car.

Figured I would ask, Anyone else dealt with this by chance? Thanks in advance

There was a few members on here that did it and posted but it is a major p.i.t.a to do(I also have the gm service manual)

Yeah, sure looks like it! The only times i really wished it worked are when some teenager driving a diesel truck with a "smoke kit" pulls onto the road in front of me and floors it. (which there are ALOT of those teenagers around here with those) Other than that, it usually have it on fresh air 90% of the time, so i'll dive into it and take photos eventually when I'm bored some weekend.

i have the same problem, i just want inside air.
if i want outside air, i ll crack open a window.
how can i duct tape the door so it stays inside air ALL the time?

This is a year old thread but I wouldn't advise it besides you can leave the recycle air setting on full time with the ac
The reason I don't recommend it is because of using the defrost in the winter
