My Oil gauge on my 05 Escalade has gone bad. It reads as it was full all the time. Is there a way to fix this?

It's most likely the oil pres. sender located way in back of the intake plenum. It's a fairly cheap part but hard as hell to get to without very long, very skinny arms. Probably under $100 to have a dealer do it.

Could this be caused by a failed stepper motor on the cluster itself? if so you just need a soldering iron and a replacement stepper motor

If the needle doesn't move or "pegs" at certain spots then yes the stepper motor is bad(common issue)
