Hi Berkin,
the black raven looks really awesome! One thing bad about is, if you have it in late 05 then we will get it here in germany about 6 months later if.......the car gets the export go!!!!
I got my XLR in aug 04 and it was one of the first cars coming into germany.
The CTS V which I like a lot isn`t available here.
Right now the Vettes coming in and I might replace my 02 C5 vert with a C6.
Thanks
Harry

Can the red interior inserts be had in a different color? What about the wood trim?

Is that a GOLD color?? I usually don't care much for gold cars, but this V would be very SWEET in gold!!
What do you suppose I'd get for trade in value for my AWD, 1SG next year when these V's come out?? I'd eat IT big time wouldn't I??!!!
I did pay cash for my STS so I have NO payments of any kind. But I don't think I could do that again by next fall.

Amazingly, I think that it's a real pic. I've heard there will be an option for this red interior. :hmm:

Yup, you can get black/red inserts or all black......I like the red inserts on the doors/seats, but think they should have left the center console and lower dash black (not red)

It's butt ugly and looks like something a ricer would do to upgrade his civic. Where does GM find these people? Can you imagine an MB or Porsche with that?

Thank god it comes in something different. My Mother in law picked up a new STS with V8 and AWD, very nice car, interior is very upscale. They should be thinking along those lines and not that cheesy stuff they have.

Yikes!

As to whether MB would do a two-tone interior like that, see the first generation SLK. I find the two-tone interior interesting. It is not for everyone, but that doesn't make it wrong for GM to explore different interiors. The German car bias of some is quite unfortunate. Why hold up Porsche as a paragon of style and virtue -- it charges $185 extra for Porsche crest wheel caps, among other things, on the 911, a $70,000 sports car.

Have you ever optioned out a Mercedes or Porsche? You can get virtually any color interior you want in a 911.

Sure I can...I can also imagine the M5 with several different, sporty interior combinations. I've seen them with a very nice blue on the inside as well.

http://www.emulation.ch/bmw/Newdesign/M5/M5_interior.jpg In fact all of the high end European models in this class have some type of bright two tone interior. The M5 was known for having bright red accents on the seats and doors. They also had blue accents.

I would like to see Caddy use the alcantara headline BMW and Mercedes use in their top products. The leather stitched door panels and dash are definitely a step in the right direction. And now the quality is as good or better than BMW and Mercedes.

I can't stand the interior of the new BMW 5 series, or just about any new BMW in general...now I'm just a fan of the older BMWs.

BMW calls this trim, "aluminum cube."

Ain't it the truth.
PRetty good cars UNDERNEATH - it seems that the worse they look the more they sell. Congrats to Mr. Bungle (er, Bangle) - our Wisconsin-born BMW -designer.
