I would like to put a Kenne Belle or a whipple if they ever made one for our car.

either for me as well. have a few fab shops around me trying to figure out a mounting plate to make it work as we speak actually. not going super well but i think they are making at least small progress. lol

I could do a whipple swap kit if I get a few people interested. I'm thinking a 2.8l head unit using our stock intercooler lid.

Who wants in?

That blower would put down some serious h.p.

i would want the hel out of our stock lid though. imo if im doing something like that, its time to get the best of the best and get rid of that top mount shit.

the cts-v and zr1 both have top mount intercoolers. I tested two different cores in a billet housing and they were both much worse than the stock one. there isn't any room under the hood for a traditional under-blower intercooler.

This would be an awesome upgrade to our eaton blower. Would I still be able to use the d3 intake or would I need to get your intake tim.

What about something from Magnacharger?

What about something from Magnacharger?

magnacharger uses Eaton rotors in their own housings. the 1900 tvs would work but there aren't any housings that would work.

I'm going to try to use my intake but I don't know if that will work

I haven't worked up a cost yet but it won't be cheap. I can't see it being less than $7000 for a complete kit.

I need at least two buyers at that price to do it. if it doesn't make at least 550rwhp I'd be amazed. who's in?

don't think I can afford to donate that much to a project without some numbers first honestly man. ill have to sit on that for a few days and see what I come up with. im strapped as hell right now for cash and don't know if taking it outta the bank would be a smart move currently.

The market for this kit is so small that I can't do it without some pre-sales. If I knew I could sell a bunch of them I'd just do it.

If 550rwhp is produced are any other upgrades needed ie. transmission etc?

Honestly, developing a turbo system would be much easier and possibly cheaper.

Magnuson Heartbeat (http://www.magnacharger.com/p-113-corvette-c6-62l-ls3-magnuson-heartbeat-supercharger-kit.aspx) features low height and a new intercooler setup on a TVS 2300 but would need development for the LC3 and be pricey (besides).

Not really. I already did that. There is a build thread on this forum.

The 2300 TVS rotors are great but we need a housing for them. One made for an LS motor is not going to be adaptable, the bore spacing is different among other things.

No one is going to make a housing specifically for the Northstar so something custom will have to be fabricated.

@TimmyC

so while on this subject, can I ask why you went to turbo setup then back to supercharged?

I wanted to build and sell parts to the supercharged guys. Had to have a test car.

If I get the time over winter and can sell my speed boat I never use. I will have twin 60mm turbos on my v buy next summer. Looking for 600 rwhp our bust. I'm going with bust lol. But it should make for one heck of a show car. I have the turbos and the friend to bend all the pipe. Just need to get a intake and oil system for it.

Cool! Twin 60mm will be a laggy bitch though. A 2.2L four cylinder takes a long time to spool a 60mm turbo.

I worked for Eaton in the automotive department for a couple of years before it was mostly sold off. I knew some of the guys in the R&D in Detriot. I am partial to the stock Eaton S/C because I know the quality that Eaton as a company puts into its products personally. I never got to see the supercharger division but I did work with the quality department and they are thurough. My 2 cents.
Plus Cadillac must think highly of them or they would have never put them in these cars.

I would like to use 40mm+- but the 60mm were all most free.
