Tried to cut a few corners but in the end GM won..... You will need to remove the bumper with the grill to install a new grill.
What brand and model of grill is this?

Looks good. Wrap the front chrome piece in black vinyl and your set.
That's nice, I was thinking about buying the chrome one and having it painted white for my truck and then painting the chrome strip on the top white.
I ditched the chrome one on my EXT and replaced it with the GM bodycolor version. GM directions stated to remove front bumper cover,,, and when I had issues figuring out how the heck the lights come out I decided to do it without removing them or the cover. It was painful, my hands got cut up, and it took a few beers to muster the courage to get it off the truck... but an hour later the OEM grill was on the ground! The install of the new one literally took 2 minutes, it just snaps in place on the bottom, and bolts in on top. Quite the experience, that is for sure!!!
