: Need a wiring diagram from SM.

Hello, Well I can't pull up the SM right now and need a wiring diagram to finish testing something,

I need the pin out for code K14, I think it is the front left headlight harness, it is the same harness that feeds the dual push fans.

The diagrams aren't done that way. Need the item you're testing e.g. headlight

Hmm, ok.

I am adding the K14 air quality sensor, I found an old printout of the pin out.

The wires for it travel out to the front of the car in the headlight harness, so I need to backtrack to where that harness plugs in underhood and see how many wires the non K14 car.

So I guess I need to look up the harness routing not so much a wiring diagram.

"The air quality sensor recognizes carbon monoxide but is not designed as a safety feature to protect you from carbon monoxide. The air quality sensor is designed to limit your exposure to gasoline exhaust fumes and or diesel exhaust fumes that could enter into the passenger compartment from nearby vehicles for a limited amount of time.

The HVAC control module monitors the outside air quality while in AUTO mode via the air quality sensor assembly. You can activate the air quality sensor on your vehicle, if equipped, by pressing the Auto button on the HVAC module. The air quality sensor is a 5-wire sensor, 1 ignition voltage circuit, 2 ground circuit, and 2 control circuits. There are 2 sensors inside the air quality sensor assembly. A hydro carbon (HC) sensor that is used for detecting gasoline exhaust fumes and a Nox sensor that is used for detecting nitrous oxide, diesel exhaust fumes. The HVAC control module outputs a 5-volt signal on the HC and Nox control circuits and operates in a range between 0-5 volts.'

Ok that is the drawing I have as well, so I could wire from each of the modules to the sensor but I was looking to find out where the K14 harness would plug into under the hood and see how many of the K14 wires are there and just not used.

From the look of the drawing they plug in by the fusebox on the right side, I will start there.

Yes, connector X116 looks to be under the fuse block.

Sweet, I will have a look and see if GM did the wiring for me.

Now I have the pins and what they do, is there a picture of the connector just to make sure I get them on the right pins.

Ok so with the help of my 7 year old ( I am colourblind, not so fun for this in low light with dirty wires) I think I have it figured out for the most part.

So now the #61 yellow wire coming out of the bottom, it goes into a complete physical splice, what would that look like?

I also want to know what an option breakout looks like, this is where the AQS ties into the air temp sensor, do I just cut and spice so it looks like the diagram?

For lack of a better word is the option breakout a tee?

I would try it with a jumper using alligator clips first, then solder and wrap if it works.
