: Sounds on a new ATS (Creaky Steering, Electrical Feedback Noise with lights)

Hello all. Bought a brand new 3.6 fully loaded ATS a few months ago and have had sounds coming from all sorts of places. The worst are the steering wheel, which creaks and squeaks whenever you turn it more than 180 degrees, and it seems to be getting worse as time goes by.

The other noise is an electrical buzzing from the passenger side speaker on the a pillar, whenever the lights are on regardless of if the radio is on or not. Took it in for my first service at Lindsey Cadillac and they said that they don't know how to fix either issue and have to ask GM for a response and that could take over a month. I've owned a few cars and this is the first time a dealer has ever told me basically that they don't know how to fix cars so they aren't even going to try.

Has anyone else experienced these issues? If so, was your dealer able to resolve them? Just looking for some guidance on if its just this dealer or if I really do have bizarre problems that are unfixable.

Loving the forum! It's neat to see that GM actually gets involved with some of the responses.

Number 1. electrical buzzing is most likely a grounding problem...not hard for the mechanics to trace.

Number 2. Steering wheel problems from past GM vehicles were pins inside steering wheel that need to lubed and adjusted

and

3. Find new Dealership....they're BS-ing you that they can't fix.....they didn't even try.
