I have a 2000 4x4 escalade and I want to lift it about 6-8" with some off road tires 35's maybe 40's. Anyone know of any good places to by the parts?

Why? Because the Escalade has a wreath and crest badge on it? It's still a perfectly capable 4x4.

Do it go against the grain and the usual I want to see pictures when it's done :)

Sounds like a cool project! I can't think of ever seeing one done to go serious off-roading.

It may be but exactly how many escalades do you hear of going off road(I rarely do any off roasting in mine)
A hummer h2 or Bronco would be more fitted to off road and both are rugged and can be outfitted to go on the trails(hummers can pretty much from factory)

It's a Suburban/Yukon with some plastic cladding, and some extra leather and chrome. Plenty of after market off road parts available. What's the problem?

Better than it ending up with 10 subs, 20 screens, and 30's on it.

I've seen a few lifted escalades posted here over the years, so I know its possible. I think they look really cool. Not everybody's taste is lowered with 26" wheels. :)

Here's what a search turns up:

It's a project I am working on and I will most def post pics when it's done. I like going against the norm and since I like lifted trucks more than thugged rides that's my plan for it. I like gettin off the road and enjoying the country side of life. If caddy didn't want the truck to be able to look this way or go off road, why make a 4x4?

Not bad just remember the 02-06 is all wheel drive not part time four wheel drive

If caddy didn't want the truck to be able to look this way or go off road, why make a 4x4? Theres ALOT of cars & vans that are 4 wheel drive and AWD! ..pretty sure those are not made for lifting up a foot and putting 40 inch tires on!....
