Got some pictures from the shop that's doing my seats and roll bar install.

Nice broken armrest you got there...

I realize that's just the initial fitting, but they look loooow. Have you had a chance to sit in them to see if they'll be good to go? Obviously there are higher holes on the side mounts, so you can go higher if needed - unless you have an exceptionally long torso, I think you'll need to go higher.

They look damn good, though!

Edit: At the last event I did, I took my instructor buddy out for a session. We were trying to remember if I had ever given him a ride in the V before - I knew he had ridden along in my Mustang and in my Subaru. After a warmup lap I put the hammer down and within a lap or two he was shouting at me, "Oh my God, these seats are HORRIBLE!! I don't remember having to hold on like this before, so I don't think I've been out with you in this car!" :p

I have only sat in it when the mounts were just mocked up. Yeah pretty low but I'm trying to go as low as possible. You're right though. I'll probably bring them up a bit though. We also discussed spacers for the street and super low for the track. Roll bar install is starting next week. Going with basic four point with an X in the rear strut supports and built in strut tower brace. My old one will be for sale then.

Looks good! I put my EVOs in a few weeks ago and had my first outing at Road America. You'll love them. I had a height problem as well. I wound up using the entire Sparco universal seat base without any sliders. They were perfect for me at 5'11". Still low enough for plenty of head room. PM me if you need more info.

Nice! Yup, our seats suck. Heavy too.

I loved my V1, but yes, the seats suck. Compared to the Recaros in the V2 anyway. Except for readjusting all the time on the track, I didn't realize at the time...

Stick seats are 76 pounds with brackets each. The Evos are 18 each plus the weight of the brackets.

I think I mentioned it already, but I'm having them put in an X brace and then another bar between the strut towers (replacing the current STB). It's supposed to be ready for paint by Tuesday (black).

looks great, if your shop can fab up a 3 point harness for me i would buy those seats/brackets etc and drop that into my car.

The brackets and everything are welded in and they had to modify the car itself a bit. I can give you their contact info though.

I got the car back yesterday. It's awesome work. I snapped a couple of nighttime cell phone pictures, but I'll try to take some better ones later. I need to adjust my coil over ride height and try to address some horrible front sway bar clunk today.

I think it looks pretty sweet! It does kind of kill.the sleeper look unless you have some dark tint in the back! Hehe. How much weight out of the back on the rear seat and are you going to fab something to cover the hole to the trunk? Or is this going to be atrack car now?

^I have 5% on the side and rear windows. It's hard to see the bars with them up so that sleeper aspect is still intact if I want it to be. Also plan on 50% on the windshield once I get the cracked one I have replaced.

Anyway, some pictures. I suck at taking these kind of pictures, so if anyone wants anything specific, let me know.

These are with all windows up:

Here's an attachment point for the main hoop:
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_172923_379_zps92b6f507.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_172923_379_zps92b6f507.jpg.html)

It's hard to see here, but there are actually three separate attachment points per side in the rear.
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_172957_221_zpsd9185859.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_172957_221_zpsd9185859.jpg.html)

Here's where the hoop supports attach:
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_172929_344_zps27a11947.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_172929_344_zps27a11947.jpg.html)

And the strut brace and X bracing (the loose nut pictured has been addressed):
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_172938_052_zps383fc243.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_172938_052_zps383fc243.jpg.html)

Windows are open in these pictures. Bracing would probably be visible in direct sunlight:
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_173041_470_zpsc6df1d45.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_173041_470_zpsc6df1d45.jpg.html)
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg149/UnsafeAtAnySpd/IMG_20130608_173054_398_zpsb4563c7b.jpg (http://s247.photobucket.com/user/UnsafeAtAnySpd/media/IMG_20130608_173054_398_zpsb4563c7b.jpg.html)

The cross point of the X brace is low enough that a side of it is just barely visible in the rear view mirror along with the diagonal bar of the hoop. Which is nice to not have the view obstructed. Checking over my shoulder for blind spots while different now because of the seating position/harnesses, isn't obstructed either by the bars.

----------

I do plan to eventually figure out something to 'tidy' up the area back there and close off the trunk as well.

MAN that is some dark tint! Looks great though. Do still have the sleeper look for sure with the windows up! What has been the overall weight savings with it all done? Mine is still a DD and kid carrier so I can't go that extreme for awhile.

Yeah, although having the cutouts open most of the time, takes away from the 'sleeper' aspect...

As for the weight, I don't know. I need to get it weighed again. Last I weighed it before seats and roll bar it was at about 3700 pounds. Not sure if I posted this yet in this thread, but the Sparcos are 18 pounds each. Stock seats were 76 pounds. No idea yet as to the weight of the tubing, harnesses and brackets.
