: 16-Inch Rims on ATS?

Hi all,

I'm due to pick up my ATS Luxury next week (hooray - 3 month's of waiting!) and we're wondering what to do with our winter tires.

Have a set of Michelin Primacy Alpin winter tires from our Subaru Legacy, on steel rims. Size is 205/60/R16. Wondering if they will fit the ATS.

Has anyone got any experience of a 16-inch rim/tire combo on the ATS? Or any opinions as to whether this could work or not?

My local dealership is really dragging their feet on the question, so I thought I'd put it to the owners too!

Thanks for your input,
Hohums

A 16" rim is unlikely to clear the Brembo calipers. That said, there have been many discussions in this forum about wheel (mostly bolt pattern) compatibility. I think that you're out of luck with your old wheels and tires. Bert

The bolt pattern on the Legacy is 5x100, so no, the wheels will not fit.

If it were me, I'd get a set of summer wheels and use the stockers for the winter tires.

Excellent, thanks for the feedback. Will look to sell them on and pick up a 17" or 18" set for the ATS. Good call on getting some summer wheels and using the stocks for winter!
