I am considering getting the blend mount for my radar. Once installed, does the radar obstruct any of the view under the mirror? I'm trying to see where the best place would be to mount the radar

I have the Blendmount, and use it with an Escort Solo. It is mounted under the mirror, so yes it does obstruct the view out the windshield a bit. It has to.

I run one with a V-1. Popacork has a point I guess, but it's not a big deal. If you hard wire it in it has to be better than sticking with suction cups and running a coiled wire to the power port.

I guess my real question is, does obstruct to the point of being annoying?

I agree. Have the Blendmount with an Escort 9500ix. Love the setup.

Thanks to all of you for pointing me to this product! I've spent the last few weeks trying to figure out how to hard wire my Bel into my car. This is perfect, I ordered one today!

I love mine blendmount with my V1. I also ran the extension for the lights so it is on my steering column. It then blacks out the lights on my actual unit so wankers won't tailgate me when they see I have a radar detector. I can easily see the warning lights on my steering column.
