Good morning everyone. First off I am new here. I recently acquired a 1968 Deville convertible at a price I couldn't refuse. It won't be winning any trophies anytime soon but should be a fun summer cruiser for the family. It runs pretty good but I feel the timing is off a hair. I figured I would try to just tweak it a bit but found that the distributor is seized up tight and won't rotate. I see that this is somewhat common. I have been soaking it and tapping but no luck. So my question is this...since the car runs should I just leave it be so as not to risk breaking anything in banging it out. Would adjusting the points possibly help? I appreciate any thoughts and look forward to joining future discussions.
