Does anyone have an engine block heater and if so where does it plug into the engine. Im trying to get one installed but the shop didn't know where to put it , they phoned gm and they didn't know either and told them not to send me to them. :rolleyes2
It's 30 below here and the car won't start without.

See if this helps:
The engine block heater is fastened to the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts on the right side of the engine. The power supply cord is routed under the air cleaner housing and stored under the right side radiator cover.

Also... have you had your battery tested? It may not be liking the cold weather.

I use a magnetic heater on my Ford tractor, just stick it on and plug it in. You can find them at most auto parts stores. For some reason on my tractor it works better on the exaust manifold than the oil pan.
There is also dipstick heaters to, they just replace your dipstick with a heated one that plugs in from the top. You should be able to find these at an auto parts store to. Good luck!

It's supposed to be a dealer installed option so you'd think the dealer would know where it goes but whatever. The battery seems okay but I'll probably get a better one anyway and see what kind of heater I can find.
